Trance Lab Radio Playlist - 28 December 2009

Just because it's the dead of winter doesn't mean we can't keep digging up hot new and recent electronic tracks. Crank up yourself some Dusty Kid & Stephan Bodzin. How about Mark Knight/Funkagenda covering one of our favorite Laurent Garnier tunes? Or a noisy Steve Fisk 12"? How about Gary Numan from '79 and Naked Eyes from '83? We're off for another ubiquitous John Hughes marathon.

Thanks for Jason and Noah for suggesting the Robert Babicz and the Slagsmalklubben. The Slagsmalwhat? The track is hot, the name invokes classic Saab 900 rally cars with Viking horns on the hood.

This is our last show of the decade. Lord Bass couldn't help but end it with one from his favorite band Curve. Tune in Monday 1/4/10 for our Best of 2009 show. Happy New Year!

Trance Lab Radio Playlist - 21 December 2009

Ho! We put on the Santa hat and play just about all the electronic Christmas & holiday related music we can get our hands on. Difference with most of what you're exposed to in December - this stuff is good. Load up on the Dialect stuff, all of which (including his pseudonym Unstatuesque and work with Stafraenn Hakon) can be downloaded here. It's quite worth it - honest.

Four Tet and The Hacker help fill in this two hour electronic fest, but really, it's about the 'holiday' music. Merry Christmas all!!

Trance Lab Radio Playlist - 14 December 2009

Trance Lab is quite excited that Chicago's duo grayarea is back. Looks like they were just in a Old Style-induced haze during the mid-latter part of the outgoing decade. Blast their new Andy Caldwell remix and judge for yourself, and download a great Underworld remix on their site.

Also new music this week from Love On Laserdisc (a Kris Menace project), A Made Up Sound, and another Gus Gus remix.

dntel, Global Communication, and Luke Slater help fill in the electronic blanks.

Lord Bass stops into Portsmouth's Red Door lounge again brining the four-four beats.

This mix stars a bit more mellow than the last, but with loads of groove in the form of Jupiter, and nutty remixes by Lifelike and The xx. The last 25 minutes are worth the wait.

A better night of electronic dance can't be heard out in New Hampshire.

Trance Lab Radio Playlist - 30 November 2009

A big sack of favorite electronic music. More new Joy Orbison (we can't get enough), Vitalic, deadmau5, Boys Noize, and Fred Falke. If that's not enough, a Trentemoller remix tosses in with Grafton Primary and a classic from Fluid Records. Don't get scared off by the Institute of Technology track - it's a favorite off 7" vinyl from 1994. Only 300 copies in print.
